You will be picked up by our representatives at a predetermined time and place for a full day tour of Jerusalem
You will begin the tour with a magnificent overview of Jerusalem and the Judean Desert from Mount Scopus, near the Hebrew University Campus. You will enjoy this breathtaking, bucolic scenery, reminiscent of days gone by.
From here, you will drive to the old city. You will start this part of the tour with a visit to the tomb of King David and the upper room on Mount Zion.
After a tour of this historical site, you will enter the southwest perimeter of the old city through Zion Gate which opens into the Armenian and Jewish Quarters.
You will take a walk along the Cardo, the colonnaded lower road from Byzantine times, and then tour the remains of the former perimeter wall of Jerusalem from the 1st Temple period.
Next, you will enter deeper into the Jewish Quarter and visit the four Sephardic Synagogues from the 16th Century that were restored after the 1967 war.
You will continue on for a visit to the Davidson Center, in the archeological park, and view a film and historical display.
Afterwards you will tour the southern Kotel excavation.
Next you will visit the Wailing Wall, the Kotel (in Hebrew), the holiest site for the Jewish people.
Afterwards, you will leave the Old City for a visit to Mea Shearim and learn about the unique lifestyle of the ultra orthodox communities.
Afterwards, you will be driven to Mount Herzl, the military cemetery and Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Memorial and Museum.
Afterwards, you will return to your point of departure.
