Departure from Jerusalem or Tel Aviv. You will be picked up from a pre-arranged rendezvous point and will be transferred to the border crossing. On the way, you will pass by the ancient Israeli city of Beit Shean.
After clearing immigration and customs, you will be met by one of our multi-lingual Jordanian representatives who will drive you from the border station at the Sheikh Hussein Bridge to the significant Roman archaeology site, Jerash for a visit to the well-preserved ruins of this great Roman City (approximately 2 hours*); then proceed to Petra for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will begin your morning tour, and spend a full day touring Petra, one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
This excursion will last for *5-6 hours at Petra, also known as the “Red Rose City”, which was originally inhabited by the Nabateans.
The tour includes horseback riding through the “Ciq” (Canyon), which merges with a captivating view of the Pink Stone Treasury, the Roman Theater and more.
Transfer to Amman for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will proceed to a vehicular sightseeing tour of Amman: this will include views of the Amphitheater and the Citadel.
You will also pay a visit to the Folklore Museum and view the Ancient Map of the Holyland in Madaba, then you will continue to Mt. Nebo to enjoy a panoramic view of the Land of Israel as the prophet Moses did according to the traditions of the Abrahamic religions.
Afternoon proceed to the Sheik Hussein Bridge (Jordan River) border crossings and after completing border procedures, transfer to Tel Aviv or Jerusalem.
*Note: Guided tours at sights are approximately 2 hours. (The rest of the time you are free to explore on your own).
