This site attracted a large number of royal & high burials.The Step Pyramid was the tomb of King Zoser and it is considered to be the earliest major stone structure erected in Egypt, surrounded by the tombs of his nobles and officials.

While the Red Pyramid & the Bent Pyramid are a massive evidence of the architectural development that lead to the construction of the Great Pyramid. Both were constructed by king Senfru{The Father of King Khufu}
The Bent Pyramidis called “The transitional Pyramid” because the angle of its sites changes due to an engineering crisis during construction.
The second Pyramid at the site is the Red Pyramid which was the first smooth sided pyramid ever constructed and also the 3rd largest pyramid after the Pyramids of Khufu & Khafre.
